Varney the Vampire Or the Feast of Blood - Thomas Preskett Prest

And the traitor who attempted murder is squashed like a bug under  a collapsing stone roof!

Serves him right.

"He lies but a mangled, crushed, and festering corpse."

Man, this book is taking forever.  Too much rambling between the interesting parts.

And we're still not sure if Varney really is or is not a vampire.

I keep thinking of Peppers line in Annie:  We're never gonna get there.
